A: Why not??! Sidewalk chalk gets us outside, stimulates our creativity and imagination, and tunes up the motor skills. Scent can be a learning tool plus it's just plain fun.
A: Smelly Chalk is non-toxic but it's scented not flavored, so it won't taste very good. We don't want anyone to have a bad experience so we ask that parents/guardians be diligent with very small children using Smelly Chalk. Note: small pieces of anything in the mouth present a choking hazard.
A: Phthalates are potent endocrine disruptors. This means that they mimic, and interfere with, the hormonal balance, which can lead to cancer, birth defects, developmental problems, and tumors. Phthalates are found in products all around us, from medical IV bags and tubing, to toys, to nearly 70% of cosmetics and hygiene products (perfumes, shampoos, etc.). A: It's not formulated for smooth surfaces like blackboards or chalkboards; Smelly Chalk works best when the surface has some "grab" to it. Please TEST A SMALL AREA first if you wish to use it on something other than concrete or asphalt. It may stain or be difficult to wash off completely.
A: Yes. Heavy application of chalk, especially with the darker colors, may require a second washing with the hose, or another rain storm, but Smelly Chalk will not leave a permanent stain. Recently dried concrete and asphalt is more porous so please wait a week or two before using chalk on new surfaces.
